The Under secretary of „tate for
Foreign affairs presents his compliments to the
Decretary to the board of rude, and is directed
by r. secretary palfour to transit to him the
accompanying copy of correspondence, with the
London Chamber of Commerce on the subject of
cargo ex the German 8.8. "bayern" at haples, which
has been requisitioned by the Italian Government,
and in re. ect of which payment to the fims
mentioned has now been approved by that Govern-
ment subject to the condition mentioned.

Jection r. balfour would be glad if they would
be good enough to furnish him with a statement
for the purpose desired, with a view of showing
that the Hong Kong and Shanghai banking Corpora-
tion has been duly registered at Somerset Mouse
as an English Company.
